    Faith Forum Update

    This item will update members on the work of the Camden Faith Forum since the last meeting. A representative will provide a verbal report covering:

     

             Interfaith coffee mornings and events

             Plans for 2025/26 collaboration with Camden SACRE, including Junior RE Conferences

     

    Members are invited to provide feedback on how Camden SACRE can continue to support and strengthen partnership work with the Camden Faith Forum.

    Collective Worship in Camden

    This item presents the guidance on collective worship for non-denominational schools in Camden (Appendix 1).

     

    Members are asked to reflect on our present advice to schools and asked to consider anything more as a SACRE we should do to support effective collective worship in schools.

     

    Appendix 1 - Collective worship for non-denominational schools in Camden: this document provides guidance for Camden schools on the purpose, aims, and legal requirements of Collective Worship. It includes practical advice on planning inclusive worship, guidance on applying for or reviewing a Determination, and suggestions for developing a school policy.

    National Association of SACRE (NASACRE) updates

    This update highlights opportunities for Camden SACRE members to engage with national training and information around Religious Education and Collective Worship.

     

             NASACRE online webinar programme 2025/26

             NASACRE Annual Conference 2026, to be held on 18th May 2026 in Liverpool

     

    Members are invited to provide feedback on how Camden SACRE can continue to develop its individual and collective knowledge of national issues and developments.

     

    Appendix 1 - NASACRE Webinar Programme 2025/26: this appendix includes details of the national training and information sessions available to SACRE members.

    Interfaith week update

    This item provides an update on Inter Faith Week 2025, which will take place from 9th to 16th November 2025.

     

    Members are asked to consider how Camden SACRE can highlight and encourage schools across Camden to take part in the week’s activities.

     

    Appendix 1 - Celebrating Inter Faith Week in Schools: this document provides background information and national context on Inter Faith Week 2025, including its aims, theme, and the ways in which SACREs can support and promote engagement across local schools.

    NASACRE/WESTHILL grant update

    This item provides a verbal update for SACRE members following Camden’s success in securing the grant award for 2025/26 and 2026/27. The RE Adviser will outline how plans are developing with schools, the Local Authority, and Camden Learning.

     

    The NASACRE/WESTHILL grant was last discussed at the SACRE meeting on 6 February 2025.

     

    Members are invited to provide feedback on how Camden SACRE can become involved in the project with both primary and secondary schools.

    Camden SACRE priorities 2025-26

    This item presents Camden SACRE’s priorities for 2025–26, as set out in Appendix 1. The priorities document is a live working document and will continue to be reviewed and updated at each SACRE meeting.

     

    Members are invited to provide feedback on how they can support the actions identified.

    Camden Religious Education (RE) Newsletter & Networks

    This item updates members following SACRE’s request to share the content of the termly newsletters and meetings held with RE leads in Camden. Details are provided from the Autumn Term 2025 newsletter and the two meetings with Camden schools held during the Summer Term 2025.
